How clever Reinhard is, becomes evident in the fact that he doesn’t want to write anything about himself under "About Me." He lets others write, which not only saves him work but also makes him seem much more credible.

Reinhard is more of a bear than someone who comes from Loeven (translates as “Lions”). He usually remains calm, which is essential in his role as a tour guide. When Franz has a sudden hunger and Heidi needs to pee again, he smiles and conjures up a solution. Or maybe not, because thanks to his vast experience, he knows that many problems resolve themselves; having the intuition to know when and why that is the case is a gift. As a bear, he almost always appears friendly – yet one always knows who is in charge. This is called natural authority. Some so-called alpha types, often self-proclaimed, can’t always handle that; then Reinhard smiles.

He will never bring out the double magnum of Dom Pérignon. Not because he is stingy, but because he finds it silly. He doesn’t rely on stars (and doesn’t like starlets) but solely on his nose as an extremely professional truffle pig. Just as he finds the best streets to drive on, he also discovers locations that authentically celebrate regional specialties with great craftsmanship – thus broadening the horizons of his guests. Because he is a good listener and appreciates details lovingly, many chefs and winemakers have become his friends. They bring their treasures from the cellar for Reinhard and his guests. This makes an outing with himalways unique. He can do this like very few others. He avoids restaurants where one must wear a tie or where the waiter looks down his nose if you want to sit at the table in sneakers. That also fits the bear.
Of course, Reinhard considers himself the best driver in the world. However, every man thinks he is the best driver in the world.
