NORWAY

THE SPORTS CAR-ADVENTURE

May 27 - June 8, 2025

May the anticipation of an organizer even be an indicator? Possibly, and having a background of more than 20 years of experience in travel development and management, perhaps a most definite, yes, it may!

NORWAY is always approaching exactly when I personally experience a sense of anticipation like no other of the certainly not lacking in anticipation outings. NORWAY, for me, is THE unexpected paradise for the pleasure-loving sports car driver. And the favorite destination of Mr. Loeven. I have to confess this much subjectivity at this point.

Do you also occasionally enjoy monumental experiences? Are breathtaking landscape experiences your thing? Does the "North" intrigue you - at least somewhat? Does it exert an inexplicable pull on you? And: do you already know the "South" of Europe in the form of the Mediterranean and the Alpine region well enough? Are you looking for the new, the previously unknown? Then off you go - to Norway!
Let us take you by the hand and experience 12 refined driving days in the monumental southwest of Norway up to Trøndelag. You will travel nothing less than the essence of the famous "Scenic Routes" of Norway. And this at the most exciting time of the year: on the threshold of Nordic summer. You will see towering snow walls and blooming orchards glide by. During the long, bright days, you will marvel at unique fjord landscapes, spectacular mountain pass roads lined with snow walls, and barren plateaus. Sometimes Europe's largest plateau glaciers will define the horizon, sometimes the Atlantic Ocean. Kristiansand, Stavanger, Ålesund, Trondheim, and of course Oslo are important, urban cool destinations on the way through the pristine natural landscape. They might also serve as a civilizational balance.

Whilst being part of this ‘road movie’ through the Nordic landscapes, you will rest your head in a handpicked selection of extraordinary accommodations. We span the range from what is probably Norway's finest luxury hotel, the *Britannia Hotel in Trondheim, to an incomparable Fjellstugu (mountain lodge) at 750 meters above sea level, above the tree line (two nights each), which brings you the experience of NORWAY’s NATURE & CULTURE in unique authenticity without having to forgo comfort and amenities. A Radisson hotel (the best house in Kristiansand) will be part of the hotel lineup, as will THE design boutique hotel in Norway in Stavanger (also two nights here) and a competitively beautifully located fjord hotel near Geiranger. Additional stops in the winter sports resorts of Geilo and near Lillehammer, as well as lovely hotel Brosundet in Ålesund and the Thon Hotel Rosencrantz in Oslo complete the selection of accommodations.
And: don’t worry about Norwegian cuisine! At least not during this road movie. Surprising 4 Michelin stars line your way through the restaurants gathered here. You will, of course, also enjoy wonderfully down-to-earth fish and seafood dishes at the stops at sea level and - in the inland regions - extraordinarily delicate Norwegian country cuisine with options for reindeer, moorhen, wild char, and other local specialties. You see: the table is richly set on all levels!

There, two nights at the wonderful Eilert Smith.
    From there, a Jæren/Lysefjord experience.

On Day 4, we continue to Geilo. Via side roads through old snowy landscapes, Hardangerfjord, and Hardangervidda.
Day 5: Via ‘snow pass’ to Fjord Norway, right into the UNESCO World Heritage Geirangerfjord.

Day 6: Off to the mountains! A Fjellstugu will call. Arne Brimi (Norwegian cooking icon) will call. The Norwegian wilderness above the tree line will call.
