Look forward to a beautiful holiday island with daring, solitary spectacular routes between Mare e Monti. We present to you the most beautiful ‘racing lanes’ in the west, north, and especially in the center of the island. Completely isolated, winding paths traverse rugged, Romanesque landscapes, where airily wooded hills with cork oaks, dry maquis, and rocky mountains dominate at different turns. You will experience viewpoints that present large parts of the island in a 'bird's-eye view', steep walls that you will conquer via alpine-like switchbacks, and asphalted single tracks that wind through the barren mountain terrain of the Sardinian center, far from everything. Yet never too far away: the turquoise or deep blue Mediterranean Sea. In April, just around Easter, the Sardinian holiday season begins – generously interpreted. Because actually, not much is happening yet, allowing the usually overcrowded hotspots to show their most beautiful side. This is especially true for the northeastern part of Sardinia, the Costa Smeralda, and the entire region north of Olbia. However, temperatures are likely to berelatively pleasant, settling above 20°C during the day. On average, April offers about 8 hours of sunshine per day. We gladly take that! A format for 'road movie' enthusiasts who want to see and experience a lot. And for – seasonally speaking – 'early birds'.

The first action on day 1 in Sardinia is about café! And: fresh, handcrafted brioches!
We will later guide you via endlessly winding paths –you will occasionally be surprised – including a hill climb onto the Monti Limbara – to the vicinity of Alghero to the first hotel of this island special, a four star superior classified establishment in the greenery. Here you will spend 2 nights.
Also due to the restaurant belonging to the hotel, which presents local products, expertly and precisely combined by Chef Stefano into Mediterranean flavor bombs, that make you want to return asap – preferably the very next evening.
However, we take the liberty of visiting Toni & Danilo Delrio in Alghero on the second evening. We consider their tiny restaurant MUSCIORA as one of Sardinia’s absolute best dining spots. Your second island day will be potentially spectacular –centered around a private boat trip to the "Grotta di Nettuno."
On the third day, you will move to the center of the island, to a very individually designed, luxurious resort near Oliena – your base camp for the next 5 days/nights. Cala Gonone is not far, a “No-Go Area” in the high season, but simply beautiful in April. You will experience it, both on land and at sea.
The Gennargentu National Park is nearby. You will also experience it – from the most beautiful imaginable viewpoints: the seats of your sports car!
The winery Giuseppe Sedilesu is nearby. You may possibly meet Giuseppe in person (but certainly his son Salvatore, as Giuseppe is now over 90 years old).
2 nights in one of the * luxury resorts of Costa Smeralda conclude the island special in Sardinia.
By the way: Italo Bassi, one of the rare (one of only 5) Michelin-starred chefs of Sardinia, has indicated that he will again open his restaurant especially for us. The official opening of his summer season will not be until May. It is an honor and a reference to the lovely evening during the exploration and reconnaissance in August 2022… Rest assured: here you will be pampered according to all the rules of hospitality, where the rather rustic culinary experiences of the previous days culminate in (still down-to-earth) refinement.
